I was lucky enough to receive a new camera for Christmas and even received it "early!" I am very grateful for it! However, I can't figure the **** thing out and have had nothing but problems with it! I'm at the point of returning it. I've spent day and night trying to get a good picture. I hope you'll hang in there with me as I continue to try to figure it out!!
I do have a lot of photos that I can and will use for my posts, but I'm really wanting to use my new camera and it's pictures for my posts. I'm excited with all that it is suppose to do and again, I am very thankful for it, but I guess that I'm just not very good with change anymore or else my patience learning new things is suffering at the moment!!
Here's to hoping I can figure the thing out soon or else returning it for something that I can figure out!! HoHoHo.......

Kelly..It's wonderful that you got a new camera and I'm sorry that you are having problems with it. I got a book to go along with my Canon and I am still learning how to use it. Have you tried the web site of the manufacturer for some suggestions..
Congrats on the new camera. I love your Robert Louis Stevenson saying, and Albert Einstein, well, he just can be beat.
I would love a new camera Kelly but I am afraid I am not good with stuff like cameras either. I am sure you will get the hang of it or just go ahead and take it back and get one you can operate. There may be something wrong with it. You could at least have them check it out. Good luck in whatever you decide.
Michelle, I sent you an email to your gmail address. Thanks so much for your advise!
Geri, thank you too. I also love Robert Louis Stevenson so much!
Judy, thank you also! I'm sure it's the camera operator (lol)...
Thanks to each of you and I really appreciate all of your words of encouragement and wisdom that each of you were kind enough to share with me! Thanks so much!! I'll let you know what happens with the camera! :)
Good luck with that new camera. Whenever I get something like a new camera, new cell phone, the joy of getting it is equal to the frustration of learning how to use it.

Oh, how frustrating! A new camera (a good thing) and a learning curve (which can be a trial). It must be a fancy manual one. I am hopeless when it comes to learning how to use gadgets but I hope you do. And if not, I like your photos anyway!
P.S. Remember when I won that lovely gift for being the second commmenter? I "played it forward" and Linda at Vulture Peak Muse (on my blog list) won and she's not posting it about it. Check it out!
This was such a lovely idea, Kelly.
Kelly, a new camera with lots of options!! Lucky you!!! And I do mean that too! I know that learning about my then-new camera took a while. I set about getting the basics and then put the instructions away for about a year. Now I am beginning to learn more about the functions and really try to learn one before taking on another one otherwise my brains would blow out my ears!
Have a wonderful holiday!
New gadgets and computer programs are the total bane of my existence. I so can sympathize! And no one is the stores knows anything, nor will they take the time to try and help. So much for customer service! I hope you know someone who is a good tekkie who can help you out. And if you do, can you give me his/her number ;-)
Kelly, good luck with a new camera. It’s so frustrating tackling something new, but I can tell from your photos that you’ll find it worth it. I responded to your book question on my blog. I’m still writing NOT CRICKET, but thanks for the interest.
I hope the issue with the camera gets sorted out> Sometimes it can be a hassle.
Wish you a Merry Christmas.
You can do it! Can't wait for the results!
Oh what a pain!!! My office got a Nikon 50 one year and I could not figur some of it's new gadgets out to save my "aaa". come to find out most of the problem with with the lens. Oh how I want an new real camera. I use to have one (nondigidal) but now I'm just using what I call a "snap shot". They are so expensive. I'll patiently wait (and continue to borrow the one from work on occasion). Good luck
What kind of camera? If I can be of any help let me know.
Hang in there, Kelly. You'll master it. You didn't say what kind of camera it is. I hope the user manual is a good, clear one. That helps so much.
My son gave me a simple digital Canon a few years back...but it took me awhile to get used to it. It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks.
